RENDERING ISSUES:
(1. mandatory fix) Internet Explorer 1 - 8 users beware! The map uses Scalable Vector Graphics, as such it is important that your browser is able to render SVG graphics, else you may be unable to play this game. You must have an SVG capable browser such as Firefox, or you must download and install an SVG plugin from Adobe, if you have not done so already. This SVG plugin does not seem to be supported on Windows Vista and Windows 7.
(2. mandatory fix) Opera users beware! Your browser should be able to render transparent gif pictures properly, some versions of Opera require a plugin to be installed to fix transparancy issues.
(3. mandatory fix) Lynx users beware! Your browser must be a frames capable browser.
(4. optional fix) Chrome users should take notice! Chrome does appear to have issues with SVG filters. Thus grids such as beaches and wheat fields may not be rendered by Chrome.
FUNCTION ISSUES:
(4. mandatory fix) Users of Internet Explorer 1 beware! Your browser must be able to accept cookies.
(5. mandatory fix) Users of Internet Explorer 2 or lower beware! Your browser must be a css capable browser.
(6. mandatory fix) Users of Internet Explorer 3 or lower beware! Your browser must be a javascript capable browser.
(7. mandatory fix) Users of Internet Explorer 4 or lower beware! Your browser must be Ajax capable and be able to accept ActiveX objects or XMLHttpRequest objects.
(8. optional fix) Users of Internet Explorer 5 or 6 should take notice! For the sake of stability of your browser, it is recommended that your browser is capable of receiving XMLHttpRequest objects.
(9. required fix) Users of mobile or handheld devices, particularly with the safari browser should be aware that the map pages need to refresh. If your browser provides stale maps you're in for trouble when you move armies.
SOUND ISSUES:
(10. optional fix) Users of Firefox and Opera should take notice! Your browser should be able to play music playlist files such as asx or m3u. Most browsers should be able to do is. Please download and install the Windows Media Player plugin for Firefox or alternatively download and install Quicktime player.
(11. optional fix) Users of Firefox with the Windows Media Player plugin should take notice! You may not be able to play the m3u playlist, please choose the asx playlist as an alternative.
(12. optional fix) Users of Chrome should take notice! Chrome has issues with embedded playlists, it may try to download the playlists instead of streaming them.
(13. optional fix) Some cell phone, smart phone, ipad users may not be able to play the music. Apparently some of these devices do not recognise embedded MP3 files. They will perceive these files as SMI files and attempt to download them.
